L’Italiano is a small, very friendly and very professional school. The teacher I had was excellent.
The lessons were thorough, intensive, but never boring and the teaching materials were all up to date and easy to follow.
There was no extra charge for books and no original signing-on fee which is very rare.
The two people who own the school make sure that students are happy and progressing well.
There is also internet access – very handy as Torino does not have ‘internet cafes’ and
the school is perfectly located in the old part of the city close to some nice bed and breakfast hotels.
Being in the historic part of the city, they are not allowed to put a big ‘Italian School’ sign in the street!
Because of this I had a little bit of trouble finding the school, but I’m glad I did.
The course was worth every penny.

I just wanted to thank you for everything that you did for my 16 year old daughter Annie
during her language stay with you at L’Italiano Porticando.  She had a great time as well as
learning a lot even in just the two weeks.  She has attended several different language schools
in different countries over the years and says that it was the nicest, friendliest and best run ever!
She really appreciated the family atmosphere and personal attention. 
Her host family were lovely too, and she found Turin a beautiful place to visit.

I spent a fantastic week brushing up on my very rusty Italian skills. 
I was very impressed by the warmth, generosity and professionalism of all the staff and teachers. 
Rosaria, Laura and Caterina go out of their way to make sure that everyone is made to feel welcome
and the social trips in the afternoon are a great way to get to know more about Torino and meet other students. 
 

The class was small enough for everyone to get plenty of opportunities
to improve their communicative skills and get to know each other. 
Our teacher used a variety of activities and materials which were relevant to all our needs
- she was strict (plenty of really good correction and useful grammar!) but fun,
 and created a really good atmosphere for learning.  Thanks Laura!

Kiedy przyjechalam do Turynu, zupelnie nie mowilam po wlosku. Zdecydowalam
sie na nauke w L'Italiano Porticando. Spedzilam w szkole cztery miesiace i
byl to naprawde wspanialy okres. Po czterech miesiacach mowie po wlosku,
czytam oraz pisze. Nie spodziewalam sie ze jest to mozliwe w tak krotkim
czasie.
Wszyscy nauczyciele sa bardzo profesjonalni, entuzjastyczni i prowadza
zajecia w interesujacy sposob. Kursy sa intensywne, w przemilej
atmosferze, bez stresu. Zajecia sa w kameralnych grupach a zawartosc
dostosowana do potrzeb kazdego studenta. Jest wystarczajaco czasu na
konwersacje, czytanie, pisanie oraz ogladanie filmow.
Zawartosc materialow dydaktycznych jest ciekawa i mozna sie dowiedziec
wielu interesujacych rzeczy na temat Turynu. Sa rowniez organizowane
zajecia popoludniowe takie jak zwiedzanie najciewszych miejsc w miescie,
muzeow itp.
Zaleta jest rowniez polozenie szkoly w przepieknym starym budynku w samym
sercu Turynu.

Sono stato a Torino per due settimane a studiare l’italiano, e consiglio proprio la scuola.
L’accoglienza è stata perfetta, tutti sono stati molto attenti con gli alunni.
Le lezioni hanno un buon livello e sono diverse, avendo tempo di parlare, leggere,
 fare esercizi e addirittura, vedere uno o due film. Insomma, nelle classi, il tempo vola!!
Poi, consiglio anche di andare alle visite organizzate dalla scuola, è un modo divertente
 di parlare con altri alunni e visitare luoghi interessanti della città accompagnati da Laura,
che non solo conosce la storia torinese, ma la ama, quindi, sono serate piacevoli.

D’altra parte, Torino è una città affascinante, sconosciuta per gli stranieri ma per quello,
offre la possibilità di imparare la lingua perché ci sono pochi turisti e devi farti capire in italiano,
non c’è un modo diverso. Io sono sicuro che tornerò a Torino, anche a questa scuola!

Als ich im Frühjahr 2009 versuchte eine Sprachschule in Italien zu finden,
an der ich zum einen meine Sprachkenntnisse verbessern und zum anderen einen speziell auf meinen Beruf
abgestimmten Kurs machen konnte, hatte ich meine Bedenken, ob ich so etwas überhaupt finden würde.
Aber nach längerem Suchen kam ich auf die Seite der Sprachschule L’Italiano Porticando und am Telefon wurde mir versichert,
 dass auch ein ganz individueller Kurs kein Problem sei. Auch bei kleineren Problemen mit der Unterkunft habe ich jederzeit Unterstützung von Rosaria bekommen.

Bei meiner Ankunft in der Schule wurde ich herzlichst begrüßt und ich habe mich von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt.
Meine Kursgruppe war klein und kunterbunt gemischt, was Alter und Nationalitäten betraf.
Zusammen mit unserer Lehrerin Caterina haben wir sehr viel gelernt und viel Spaß gehabt.
Sie hat uns die Sprache mit viel Geduld, aber auch Konsequenz beigebracht, wobei sie die trockene Grammatik
 immer wieder durch alltagsbezogene Übungen, Lieder oder Spielchen, sowie viel Kommunikation untereinander aufgelockert hat. Während der Gruppenarbeit fand sie auch Zeit auf jeden einzelnen von uns individuell einzugehen.

Von der Gestaltung meines Einzelkurses war ich sehr positiv überrascht, da meine Lehrerinnen sehr lehrreiches
 und interessantes Material zusammengestellt und speziell auf meinen Beruf abgestimmt haben.

Die Ausflüge und Aktivitäten an den Nachmittagen gestaltete Laura, wobei ich von ihr vieles über die Stadt und die Region gelernt habe. Diese Ausflüge waren eine schöne Abwechslung zum alltäglichen Kursprogramm und außerdem eine gute Möglichkeit die anderen Studenten kennen zu lernen.

Das ganze Team in der Schule hatte für jeden von uns immer ein offenes Ohr, egal ob für kleine oder größere Probleme. Die Lehrerinnen brachten uns mit viel Engagement und Feingefühl die Sprache bei, in gewissen Augenblicken zwar mit einer gewissen Strenge, aber mit ganz ganz ganz viel Herz!! Man fühlt sich nicht wie ein Schüler, sondern wie ein Mitglied einer großen Familie.
Ich habe in diesen vier Wochen meine Sprachkenntnisse verbessern können, viele wunderbare Menschen kennen gelernt und mich einfach nur „sauwohl“ gefühlt! Danke für diese wunderschöne Zeit!

E stato un gran piacere di partecipare nel corso d'italiano della vostra scuola.
Era solo per una settimana, ma nel questo periodo ho imparato moltissimo.
L'ambiente nella scuola era piacevole straordinariamente e il corso era eccellente
e ben fatto par la mia insegnante Giorgia.
L'indirizzo dove ho alloggiato mi è piaciuto molto. Parlare con il mio ospite e ospita dava un extra stimolo.
 Insomma il soggiorno a Torino era un esperienza eccezionale per me. Mille grazie.

Solamente se pueden destacar cosas positivas de mi experiencia en L'Italiano Porticando.
 Desde el trato con la persona, que es cercano e individualizado, hasta las clases,
con un gran método basado en la comunicación, todo son atenciones.
La suma de estos factores se aunan en un espacio único como es Turin,
una ciudad sorprendente con un corazón abierto al mundo.

La posibilidad de aprender un bonito idioma como el italiano, enmarcado en un ambiente de estas características,
queda perfecto para unas vacanciones distintas de las clásicas.
Alejados de los agobios de un horario de excursiones fijo sin apreciar las ciudades,
se puede conocer una población y una region en profundidad, es una experiencia muy gratificante.

Desde mi propia experiencia como alumno, sólo puedo recomendar encarecidamente esta escuela.

Die kleine aber feine Sprachschule L’Italiano Porticando ist ein Geheimtipp.
In kleinen Gruppen wird intensiv gelernt und nach 2 Wochen ging ich mit einem guten Gefühl,
denn ich habe unglaublich viel dazugelernt.
Die familiäre Atmosphäre zieht sich durch alle Programmpunkte durch,
 ob es nun die Lektionen, die gemeinsame Kaffeepause oder die gemeinsamen Exkursionen mit Laura sind.
Das Wissen über die Region und die Stadt Turin und die Hilfsbereitschaft sind unglaublich.
Wenn es um Tipps für Exkursionen oder um Land und Leute geht, ist Laura die richtige Ansprechpartnerin.
Die Unterkunft bei einer sehr netten älteren italienischen Dame war ebenfalls ein Hochgenuss.
Ich hatte nicht nur das Vergnügen ihre Kochkünste zu genießen,
sondern auch viel mit ihr über Gott und die Welt zu reden.
Ich würde sofort wieder einen Sprachkurs bei „L'Italiano Porticando“ machen.

Wir haben in einer Woche Minigruppenkurs nicht nur viel Spaß gehabt, sondern auch viel gelernt!
Die Lehrerinnen sind sehr engagiert, nett und nehmen Rücksicht auf die individuelle Lerngeschwindigkeit.
Außerdem haben wir in der Woche auch viel über die italienische Lebensweise und die Stadt Turin erfahren.
Die gemeinsame Kaffeepause aller Schüler sowie die Ausflüge nachmittags sind eine schöne Sache und passen super in das Gesamtkonzept.

L'Italiano Porticando ist absolut empfehlenswert! Man spürt, dass die Schule mit sehr viel Engangement
 und Liebe zum Detail geführt wird. Der Unterricht in kleinen Gruppen macht nicht nur Spaß,
sondern man lernt dabei auch viel. Die Aktivitäten am Nachmittag sind eine tolle Ergänzung,
um mehr über Turin zu erfahren und nebenbei noch Italienisch zu plaudern.
Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

Sono andata a fare un corso d'italiano a la scuola L'italiano Porticando a Torino questo estate
e ci  vorrei esprimere la mia opinione. Torino è una città meravigliosa e la scuola è stata benissima.
L'offerta di corsi è così ampia che ti permette di scegliere quello che è più adatto alla tua richiesta.
Le professore sono molto competenti e si adattano alle tua necessità.
La  scuola è locata nel centro della città e fa tante attività.
L'allievo ha l'opportunità di fare delle attività extrascolastiche per conoscere meglio la vita e la cultura italiana.
La scuola prepara con tantissima cura delle gite ai posti più relevanti della zona e così si impara moltissimo in un modo diverso.
Il materiale didattico che prepara la scuola e molto interessante visto che non si tratta di una copia,
anzi è fatto dalla propria scuola e si adatta al livello del studente.
Veramente questa scuola cerca di offrire un modo nuovo e originale di imparare la lingua .
Per finire dire che io consiglerei questa scuola a tutti quelli che vogliono imparare l'italiano in un modo originale, dinamico e soprattutto guidato da un staff docente di altissima qualità e gran impegno.

Von den mir persönlich oder aus dem Internet bekannten Sprachschulen ist L’italiano Porticando die einzige,
 die ein flexibles Kurskostensystem anbietet. Dieses erlaubt mir, meine Sprachkenntnisse in mehreren auf das
 Kalenderjahr verteilten Einzelwochen aufzufrischen, ohne  dass ich jedes Mal wieder
 die Einschreibgebühr entrichten muss. Die  Gebühr ist in den Kurskosten integriert
 und wird bei der Preisberechnung für jeden späteren Besuch der Schule bis Ende Jahr mitberücksichtigt.
 Zudem verringern sich auch die Kurskosten entsprechend der Anzahl der bereits im  laufenden Jahr
 absolvierten Schulwochen. Dies  kommt sicher all jenen zugute, die ihre Berufsarbeit nicht gleich für
 längere Zeit unterbrechen können. Von der Schweiz aus ist Turin, eine Stadt mit noch  wenigen Touristen,
 zudem mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln oder mit dem Auto in  kurzer Zeit erreichbar.
 Dies waren die Gründe, warum ich L’italiano Porticando wählte. Die Schule erlebte ich dann sehr positiv.
 Schon die Anmeldung kann leicht telefonisch erfolgen, die Gründerinnen der Schule sprechen nebst
 andern Sprachen auch perfekt Deutsch. Die Lehrerinnen unterrichten verständnisvoll und doch zielgerichtet.
 An der Schule herrscht ein angenehmes, familiäres Klima. Gratis-Mineralwasser während des Unterrichts,
 besonders aber die gratis bereitgestellten heissen Getränke während der Pause
 schaffen schnell Kontakt unter allen Anwesenden. Die vielgesichtige Grossstadt Turin
 konnte ich leider erst zum Teil erforschen, besonders  gefallen haben mir das Museo della montagna
 und das Museo del Cinema sowie die Quartier-Bars. Allora ci vediamo a Torino.

Ho partecipato ad un corso individuale di Italiano commerciale di tre settimane presso la
Scuola L’Italiano porticando a Torino.
L’esperienza è stata molto positiva e sono rimasto contento di come sono stato accolto,
accompagnato e di come le mie esigenze sono state esaudite.
Specialmente per un corso di Italiano commerciale è molto importante che l’insegnante sia anche esperto di Economia.
Presso l’Italiano porticando ho trovato nella persona di Rosaria tutto questo,
permettendomi di capire molte cose su come lavorano le aziende in Italia
e di conseguenza farmi un’idea sulle attività e le realtà delle aziende italiane.
Per di più il centro storico di Torino è molto bello ed offre tanti posti e monumenti da visitare.
Dopo una visita, passeggiata o shopping si può prendere un caffè o un aperitivo
in uno dei tanti bar-caffè e naturalmente dopo l’aperitivo non può mancare un buon pranzo
o una buona cena con un buon bicchiere di vino piemontese conosciuto in tutto il mondo.

The most important thing about the school was the quality of the biscuits
coffee time (excellent). Other than that the school is bang in the centre
of Turin, the staff were very friendly and organised and I learnt a lot of
italian in the week we were there. Our teacher kept a good pace during the
lessons and we were never bored, she made sure we had an equal chance to
read, speak and answer questions and there was a lot of conversation, on
everything from the grammar we had just learnt to the last film we saw to
the perfect way to cook cheese on toast. I was very happy with my time at
Italiano Porticando.

Quest'estate ho fatto un corso di una settimana nell'Italiano Porticando.
 Sono stata molto bene la prima cosa che mi ha sorpresa è la calda accoglienza
ricevuta per parte di tutti professori. Ricordo specialmente Laura.
L'escursione alla Sacra San Michele con lei nella sua macchina.
Sempre tan simpatica e tan paziente. I giri per la città,
 allungando il tempo piu del rigorosamente necesario prendendo un gelato o un caffè con tutti noi.
 L'ho passato francamente bene e mi è piaciuta molto la città Torino.

I visited several language schools in Torino before I chose L'Italiano
Porticando. I chose it because when I visited, the staff where
friendly and professional, and the offices (which are well situated in
an old building in the centre of Torino) were clean and bright.

I particularly liked the style of the lessons, which were not overly
formal, and included time to chat in Italian over an espresso each
day. The course book, which is written and provided by the school, is
set entirely in Torino and the surrounding areas, which made the
learning very relevant - as well as providing ideas and suggestions of
what to see and do, what to eat and drink, in and around Torino.

I joined the course in Torino because i wanted to learn Italian on
location, so that I could practice on my own. The best aspect of the
course was the friendly staff, the small class size and the
excellence of the teaching materials, which were thorough,
interesting and up to date, as well as being nicely presented. I
learned a great deal during one week, and am continuing my Italian,
starting from a sound base gained at L'Italiano Porticando.

Ich habe in diesem Jahr zweimal die Sprachenschule "L'Italiano Porticando" in Turin besucht,
zwei Wochen im Mai und eine Woche im Oktober.

 kompetent vorbereitete Programm, wobei besonders die Stadtrundgänge und Ausflüge hervorzuheben sind,

One of the merit of this School was that they taught me in italian language very intensively and eagerly.
 I was a completely beginner of it. At first lesson, all the conversation was held by Italian and
I found it was tough to catch up with, but when I could not follow them,
they gave me a moment to ask and they usually checked it clear or not.
In my case, it was a private lesson so I could ask many things without hesitating.

The another good point is that the content of lessons are interesting.
Teaching materials was also nice. I like book which I used
because all of the sections are useful for the life here in Italy.

They are very kind and paciently.

As regards dislike point, absolutely no idea. I like this school perfectly.

We took the basic language course at L’Italiana Porticando at very short notice after we moved to Turin.
This excellent school impressed us. It was willing to accommodate our schedule.
The school is small and strikes a good balance between efficiency and friendliness.
Classes were small and time was available for individual assistance.

The material was particularly useful as it was based on the daily experiences of living in Turin.
Discussions about food, directions, history and trips were based upon the area.
Classes were directed at being able to handle day-to-day needs like shopping,
buying a rail ticket and asking for directions.
Specific requests for help in areas of language that we needed immediately
like installing a phone line to a new apartment were willingly accommodated.

Classes built confidence through being taught purely in Italian,
which could then be tried (with increasing success) on the street.
We found that the basic course gave a thorough understanding of Italian basics
and enough of a vocabulary to function. Since the course we’ve built on that framework with satisfaction.

Finally, what makes this school particularly special are the wonderful personalities of Rosaria, Katrina and Laura.
They became friends as well as teachers.

It is imperative to learn Italian if you intend to integrate into the Italian way of life
 and we felt the best way to do this was to take an intensive course that enhanced our own studies.
L'Italiano Porticando were very flexible in providing a tailor made course that suited our requirements,
 everything, from the scheduling of teaching, coursework texts, the one to one teaching,
 to the field trip around Turin were very well designed to improve
 our language skills over a short period of time and which were presented in a very friendly and relaxed way.
 The greatest success of the course was that it has given us the confidence to get out there and try even harder.

sono stato quattro settimane a Torino per fare il corso da Rosi, Cati e Laura e mi ha piaciuto moltissimo. Cera ogni giorno una altra cosa da parlare di. Mai é stato noioso solo qualche volte fatigoso, perche cé cosi molto da vedere che ho avuto bisogno da visitare Torino anche la notte. Latmosphera alla scuola é molto personale perché ci sono solo classe piccole. Ottimo da studiare. Anche la compania degli altri studenti mi ho piaciuto e sono ancora in contatto. 

É stato uno bello periodo per me a Torino che mai dimenticaró, ma per me era troppo corto. Due mese sarebbero state meglio. Ma comunque, forse ancora l'estate, chi sa?
